About Dr Helen Flint
BDS(Hons) MDentSci MOrth
Dr Helen Flint completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours in 2003 at the University of Liverpool, in the UK. Following graduation, she worked in private dental practice for a year, before spending two years working in the maxillo-facial surgery unit at one of the UK’s largest and busiest hospitals.

She quickly discovered that her real passion lay in the field of orthodontics, and she embarked on specialist orthodontic training, also at the University of Liverpool. In 2009, she was awarded her Master of Dental Science in Orthodontics, with distinction, and was admitted as a Member in Orthodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. She was awarded the William Houston Gold Medal for achieving the highest marks of any candidate in the Membership in Orthodontics examination.

Shortly after completion of her specialist training, Dr Flint relocated to Australia, where she has worked in private orthodontic practice in the Sydney area, most recently in Parramatta and Gladesville.
​
Dr Flint enjoys treating all people of all ages, from young children through to teens and adults, using the latest orthodontic techniques. She is a certified Invisalign provider, and regularly attends courses and conferences to ensure she is up to date with the latest scientific advancements in orthodontics.
​
When she’s not busy creating beautiful smiles, Dr Helen enjoys spending time with her two children. She is also a keen runner and can often be spotted pounding the pavements of her local Inner West streets.

About Tina
Treatment Coordinator
Tina joined the team in 2022. She started her career as a dental assistant, assisting in implantology and various other surgical procedures, before moving into the orthodontic field, where she has now worked for over a decade.
​
As our treatment coordinator she is the first point of contact for all our new patients, arranging consultations and visits to start treatment. She has a wealth of knowledge about all aspects of orthodontic treatment, and can answer almost any question you might have about your treatment.
​
Tina is also a mum of two and when not parenting she enjoys Pilates, cooking and dining with family and friends.
About Carla
Dental Assistant
Carla joined the AVO team as a dental assistant in 2021. Originally from the central west, she has been an Annandale local since 2005.
She has always enjoyed working with people, having previously worked as a food coach, and as a remedial massage therapist. She has also obtained her Certificate 3 in Mortuary Theatre Practice and a Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy.
When she’s not working hard looking after our patients, she enjoys the beach, long walks, cooking
and good times with family and friends.
About Caitlin
Reception
Caitlin has been a member of the AVO team since 2021. She is a key member of our reception team; however, she can also sometimes be found assisting in the clinic.
She enjoys the fast-paced environment and challenges of working within an orthodontic practice. She is currently combining working at AVO with studying at Sydney University.
​
Outside of work, you can find Caitlin spending time with her three dogs and going on food adventures with her family and friends.
About Georgi
Dental Assistant/Reception
Georgi is the youngest member of the team, bringing a burst of energy to the practice. She can be found assisting alongside Dr Flint and helping out on reception.
​
She is currently attending university studying Chemical Engineering and Commerce. She enjoys listening to music and going out with her friends.
​
With her family residing overseas Georgie enjoys travelling and experiencing new adventures.
About Lani
Dental Assistant
Lani is originally from the beautiful island nation of Fiji, where she worked as an oral health therapist, before moving to Australia.
She joined AVO as a dental assistant in 2022, and our patients love her gentle and calm nature.
​
Outside of work, she is studying for her Australian Dental Council exams, to allow her qualifications to be recognized here. She also enjoys listening to music and creating art.
